Silver foil wallpaper, a cooler metallic statement
Premium Silver Foil is the same metallic surface as our gold in a cooler register: a silver shimmer that catches light and shifts as you move, suited to contemporary rooms where gold would read as too warm. Like the gold, it is a statement finish for one wall rather than a material for a whole room.
What it is
A metallic wallcovering printed to your wall's exact measurements in centimetres. The shimmer comes from the surface itself rather than from the ink, so it moves with the viewer and with the time of day instead of sitting flat. Against grey, charcoal, glass and pale timber it reads sleek; against warm terracotta and brass it usually does not, and the gold is the better answer there.
Which walls it suits
Modern living rooms, offices, receptions, bar backs and stair landings — walls that are already the focus of the room. Lighting matters more than the design: a wall grazed by a downlight or a wall lamp will show the shift, and a flatly lit one will show much less of it. It is not a whole-room finish, and we would say so before you ordered it. Existing wallpaper comes off first, whatever material you choose.
Living with it
Dust with a soft dry cloth and nothing else. The metallic foils prefer a dry cloth to a damp wipe, and nothing abrasive, no scouring pads and no solvent cleaners belong on them. Order a free A4 printed sample before you commit and look at it against the wall in your own light — a metallic finish depends on the room it is in more than any flat colour does, and a screen cannot show you that.

Measure the widest and tallest points of the wall in centimetres and enter those on the design page. We print to your figures and add a trim margin on every edge, included in the price you see. Silver foil is a paste-up material, so the wall wants to be clean, dry and clear of old wallpaper before it goes up. Tell us how the wall is lit when you order, because with a metallic finish the lighting decides the result.
